Hk6600 Magic

Hi,

In the service manual of the HK6600 HK specify – High Instantaneous Current Capacity – >43A

Output devices are Sanken’s 17A/200W 2SC3858/2SA1494.

From the datasheet, there is a theoretical <34A peak current before destruction.

How do they measure ?

It probably comes from the output transistor transient current spec.

A MOSFET I use is 20amps continuous but 48 amp transient.

Its just what the transistor will accept without dieing.
