Default Does quality of negative voltage regulation matter

I've found that better quality, lower noise regulation of the positive rail always brings benefits, be it in cd players, amps, pre-amps etc.

Question: Does improving the negative voltage regulation bring benefits or is it not worth the effort?

If you have a look at PSRR of opamps per example you'll notice the negative supply rejection is commonly better than the positive by 10-20db. IME this doesn't necessarily mean that you won't hear a difference between a Jung superreg and a 337. I was recently shocked to discover that a leading manufacturer uses a sophisticated superreg-type circuit to power the B+ of a differential tube pair and a 337 for the negative supply, obviously assuming that a CCS in the tail will make the 337 invisible. I built it using a 337 and later replaced this with a Jung. Obvious improvement.
