Default Anyone in the Dallas area to repair an amp?

I have a ton of equipment I've been needing to sell for some time, most of which I never used (shouldn't have bought). One of the units is a Golden Theater GTX-1 (Golden Tube, Solo Electronics.. now out of business) preamp/processor, along with the matching GTA-1 five channel amplifier. Back around 2006 or 2007, when I first bought these two units together on Audiogon, one of the amplifier channels was giving me problems.. intermittent, cutting in and out, and just not working at all. The guy I bought it from claimed to have a lot of electronics experience and said he'd try repairing it at his expense, so I shipped it right back to him. After an exchange of emails, that amp channel had supposedly been working fine for days after he'd done some minor work on it. However, upon receiving it, it wasn't working again. This time, it was the 2nd amplifier channel.. and as it turns out, he'd switched them, for some reason I can't remember. So, it was indeed the same channel that wasn't working again when I received it. After all of that, he offered for me to ship it back at his expense (again), and I just went ahead and said I'd figure something out (yeah, I guess I shouldn't have done that).

Anyway, it's been sitting ever since. The other 4 channels work fine. I think it's 5 identical monoblocks inside, but I haven't opened it myself to look at anything (would be pointless.. I'd hardly know what I was looking at). Eventhough the company is out of business, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't take much to repair it.. whatever the problem is. I'm curious though as to whether or not it'd even be worth fixing it before selling it, versus just attempting to sell it as is. What do you think? If you're in the area, I'm willing to let someone take a look. If you can repair it for a very reasonable price, I'd definitely consider it. Oh.. and if this person ends up repairing this amplifier channel, and all goes well enough, I'm sure I have more things for you to take a look at, if at all possible.

Not sure exactly where you are in the DFW area, but I know of several local audiophiles who had good luck getting amplifiers repaired here:

you might give them a call.
He works on pretty much anything audio related.

Thanks! I'm in Coppell, but that's doable. I'll definitely look into it.
