Sparks are flying!
It would appear the small fireworks display that erupts from one of my XL280's heatsink mounted thermal switches/breakers indicates the need for a replacement. Ink stamping on the component perimeter is: 87-232 L167 87/E, and the top of the unit shows a couple of words, only one I can make out due to their orientation and that one is "SENSORS". Any idea where or how I might obtain a replacement part? Thanks, y'all! Tom |

The original was made by Elmwood Sensors Inc and is an 85*C normally closed device.

I have an extra pair of the Hafler thermal switches. Send me a PM if interested. I live in northern Illinois. Will sell the pair for $10 plus postage.

Thanks guys! The info is excellent and I'll take you up on your offer, Dick.
Problem is that since I have so few posts, I can't PM you as my user account is apparently still under moderation... let's see if this 2nd post is enough and the Mod makes me official... Otherwise, please email me and hopefully we can connect. BTW... I'm in Michigan. Thanks again, Gents! |
