I have recently bought Crown Microtech 3600VZ amp, It really rocks, but it heats a lot compared to other amps.
Anybody using this amp please guide if it is normal. Crissty. |

oh yeah! these babies will crank out some heat! keep GOOD CLEAN airflow. they have very small heatsinks inside and rely on the fan to keep them cool. the fan motor is a special fan-former, half motor half transformer. its good to open them up and clean the bearing shafts and re-oil the motor. be careful with the fan blades. the get brittle with age.
