Default Crown 3600VZ Heating

I have recently bought Crown Microtech 3600VZ amp, It really rocks, but it heats a lot compared to other amps.
Anybody using this amp please guide if it is normal.

Crissty.

oh yeah! these babies will crank out some heat! keep GOOD CLEAN airflow. they have very small heatsinks inside and rely on the fan to keep them cool. the fan motor is a special fan-former, half motor half transformer. its good to open them up and clean the bearing shafts and re-oil the motor. be careful with the fan blades. the get brittle with age.

keep on rockin!
