Amp Design/what goes into building a great amp

My '2 buck chuck' are my WATT 1's that originally cost about $5000 and I got used for $2000. I know that the speaker boxes, themselves cost at least $1000 to make by the manufacturer, so I basically bought it for the cabinets. I would be unhappy to live with less, and I have tried for a time.

After that we will be able to answer the bill of materials question, what goes into building what is defined as a great amp.
