I am having a hard time finding a bridge rectifier ad transformer for a Spectro Acouctics model 500 power amp. The bridge is a Diotec DB 2504 and the transformer says Tinker Bell with these numbers( 104-0013 and 8831977). Everytime I find similar info I also find that the part is discontinued. The amplifier draws 1200 watts, 117 volts. The two large capacitors are 13,000 mfd at 100 wvdc. Can anyone tell me where to find replacement parts, I don't have and can't get a schematic. Also is it possible to use a torroidal transformer? I have no idea of the rating and model of transformer. Can someone please help? Thank you, Kyle.

The transformer will have been custom made. You will need to find out what VA rating it was and what secondary voltages it had to be able to find a suitable replacement. 100V rated caps
The Diotec part sounds like a 25A 400V bridge rectifier. You can get similar parts anywhere. For example GBPC2504 will do the same job. If it had wires instead of tags, GBPCW2504. The amp seems to be rated for 250W into 8 ohms per channel. What kind of output transistors does it have? My guess is the power supply rails were +/- 70V so that'd be a 2x50VAC (or 50-0-50 VAC) transformer. It's hard to tell for sure without more info |
