Default Help with Hafler Pro1200

Hi,
I recently got a used Hafler Pro1200 power amp. It worked fine and sounded good but there was loud popping sounds when I turned it on and off.l opened it up and discovered that one of the big output caps was loose on the board, I could pull it out with my hand. So I soldered it back in. Now the popping sound is gone when turning it on and off. While taking the amp apart I further discovered two resistors that look fried. (see picture). I measured both of them and they read 37.4 ohms. The manual tells me that these two resistors should be 47 ohms 1/4W 5% carbon comp.
Here is my question: Should I replace them with the value stated in the manual or should I replace with the value that I measured? I have no idea why these are fried, only know that both of them are in the same position in the signal path but one is for the left the other one for the right channel. They seem to still work but I was wondering if it makes sense to put a resistor in that is rated for more watts.
I recently build two Bottlehead kits and am familiar with soldering but am totally new to electronics. So I have no clue what these resistors do in the signal path and how they affect the sound.
Any input is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
