Default What makes the best wide world amplifier..how to detect the one!

I have to admit, to confess, that i am feeling myself
bored with so many folks asking me what is the best
amplifier.

I do not know!…I am still searching for it.

No one knows, because this is subjective, individual…
there’s no two persons that feel alike, listen alike,
taste alike and so on.

People is always searching for privileged informations
about Aksa…. I will not tell you a single word…or…
will say something is public, and that means nothing,
or half of nothing.

What makes an amplifier good:

Correctly biased..all transistors operating into their
best points respecting it’s datasheet..voltages, currents,
and the most special…VBE

Electrolitic capacitors that are not inverted

No transistor too much hot, thermal noise

Not too much stages..each one distorts

A good supply, the one you can suck all the current
the amplifier needs into 2 ohms loads and no noise
will come from the supply…just that..put 8 hertz and
turn oscilator volume up…turn amplifier volume up
and no mains noise can be heard… have noise?..
increase filter capacitance..ready..now a good amplifier!

Wants sound stage… use two supplies..this is the best
way to have good separation, and as consequence sound
stage…or buy trick amplifiers, very well designed and
developed…the only one…Aksa 55….only this brand
produces special sound stage….and I have built and
listened more than 4K amplifiers..and this happens because
a trick used…not even dead I will tell you…. If you
think I told you..be sure I was fooling you.

ALL AMPLIFIERS ARE GOOD…ones less good when
too much complicated into the audio patch..not the
surrounding parts…. Say..too much stages…double
differential..special differential with too much transistors,
trick fets and so on…to be good they must ONLY be
working fine..say..voltages and levels not wrong..and
this is not hard to obtain…so… those complicators
of course will be frustrated..for sure they will.

The good amplifier, or the best…is the one you have,
the one you built..the one you select, the one you bougth,
because YOU is an important subject…EGO… selfpride

You can believe your amplifier is the best one…the same
way you think your wife is the most pretty woman..and she
is not..this is only pride and the natural need we have to fool
ourselves…also your son and daugther are not the most
clever ones…you feel this way because you want..this
makes you feel good..so..go dreaming!

If you believe special stripped capacitors sounds..them install
some into your amplifier…. The sound will not change..but you
will perceive something changed…you have made your mind…so
be happy with your illusion and buy more stripped capacitors.

What makes an amplifier special..some tricks…I know only one…
Aksa….. and I can make any wide world amplifier sounds alike…
i know the tricks..will not tell ya…

What makes an amplifier sound better than others…. The speaker does
that..your mind does that…power does that.

What makes an amplifier produce better sound stage…. Heheheheh.

What makes an amplifier punchy…. Big condensers into audio patch
and feedback line….bit condensers into the supply..and your mind you
have made it in advance.

Boys..now a days I am searching the no good ones…as the best one
i could not find..only the best one to sound stage….. nothing more
now I am having fun testing schematics…to discover the one is
real bad..and understanding what makes them bad.

What do you think makes an amplifier good, or special.

Post your ideas here… agreements and disagreements.

Boys..do not ask me what is better…. I do not know..ahahahha.

Mine amplifiers are better!!!..ahahahahahah!

Carlos

Default People uses to confuse things..because i love to assemble amplifiers and because i'm

very active into the forum, they think i know the misteries of life.

I do not know...and worse...i could not find someone to tell me what is the best amplifier...and prove that!

No one has answered me basic questions about life, death, and

how to understand women...no one knows.

If you know something about the best audio amplifiers (yours naturally!), tell us.

Post here!

regards,

Carlos

I'm not sure I agree to that it's subjective. I think the best amp is the one that adds or subtracts the least. If you add the amp to the signal path (with a "smart" dummy load) and can't hear any difference, it's perfect.

All the good sounding amps sound different, not one is better over the other, in a synergistic system one will sound better/best over the others.

There is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. That is why I don't build many amps of the same kind eg solid state. I build only solid stae, tube and D-class, to me there more differences among these genres of amps.

Default Yes Titan..there are differences..but not so strong to allow you to decide the one is

the best.... maybe the better to yourself..subjective, personal.

Carlos

define 'best'

best sounding, well what sounds best to you may not to someone else...

best engineered...may not be best sounding....

doesn't it depend also on the speaker ?

I mean, depending on the speaker the choice of amplifier may be different, even for the same listener.

And doesn't it also depend on the music. I remember auditioning a KRELL system once. I heard 'glare' on the violins and didn't like it. But had I been listening to heavy metal I may have been really impressed.
