I vaguely remember seeing a circuit that was based on the MJ amp at http://whaan.homestead.com/files/page5.html

There were a few more transistors in the driver stage. Someone put up a link to it. It is not the pdf file at

Can anyone remember the circuit and the URL?

Not sure of the site you are looking for, but I looked on my hard drive and I have a few Schematics of amps (Japanese mostly) using a symetrical layout:
