Can anybody reccommend a good book to read for a beginner geting in to building amps and such. I recently completed my first chip amp from a kit from www.chipamp.com Now I have the bug. That was my first electronic project ever. As I read these posts I realize there is alot to learn before I can do this well. Terms like bias and feedback mean nothing to me. I have a long way to go! Please, if anyone can tell me the best way to get started. I love to read books (written on paper). I am sure there is just the book I am looking for, the problem is I don't know what I should be looking for!
Thanks for all of your help, you guys (and gals I guess) have been great so far!
Sincerely,
Jeff Miller

Default books

here's one- 'the art of electronics'- by horowitz/hill. I'm still trying to digest some of what I'm (still) reading. - It's a good book.

Jeff:
All 4 of those titles are available to preview via Google Books.
You will also find used copies of these and earlier editions @ Alibris.
Some heavily discounted, and a bargain.

As an absolute beginner, this book was my favourite. It teaches electronics based almost entirely on audio amplifier circuits.

And there are some great little projects inside, like a variable/regulated bench power supply, speaker protect circuit, etc.

This together with Art of Electronic$, Self's Amplifier Handbook, Slone's other books, etc, will get you up to speed.
