Cool pic, thylantyr! Almost hynotic. :hypno2: Actually I was thinking of the fets sitting edgewise rather than flat as you have drawn hence the comparison to a paddle wheel. Then you could have each fet on it's own strip of heatsink and if you rotated the whole assembly as per haldor's unmedicated hallucination it would be just like a drum type blower. :) I bet that would be a first.

The temp co thing is only useful for lateral types, the old 2SK135/2SJ50 and similar ones. Modern Fet's has this effect at 4-6 A, Hitachi at 100-200 mA. Quite a differnce :att'n:

The tempco can be as much as -10 mV /deg for some types.

I didn't know the Hexfets have this
problem.. Last time I read the
databook on mosfets, turns out
it was Lateral fets, I read the stuff
15 years ago..... I just assumed
all fets had the "self protect mechanism" [tm] .....(hehe)......

I see now why you want those 1
ohm source resistors if you do
un-matched fet assembly of your
amplifier ... (hehe).......
