Default complementary pairs tip29 tip30

Hello is there a better sub for the older tip29 tip30 complementary power transistors?? there 1amp 40 volt pieces

The tip31 and tip32 are usually available at Radio Shack if you want a transistor with near identical specs. If your looking for an upgrade the mje15030 and mje15031 would be a good choice but they have a much higher Ft and may cause oscillation.

Those will fit. (3A)

Also, if you want more power reserve, you can use TIP41 and TIP42

these are in a highly regulated powersupply of the very old school type.... i don't want to cause any oscillations
