I would like to replace rectifiers in an old Nad 3020 (they are 1N5401).
I found no Schottky with correct characteristics so I wonder if some of the following should be an improvement:

UF5408 (ultra fast recovery)
FR304 (fast recovery)
MR854 (fast recovery)
RG3G (glass passivated fast switching recovery).

Thank you for any suggestion.

Hi
This has been discussed many times around here. see example thread http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=75428

IMO and that of 99% of designers of high end audio gear is that standard diodes are best at line rectification.
Novice psuedo designers and tweekers alike select exotic fast diodes (after all faster must be better) because it gives them some feelings that they have discovered some new magic. They point to hearing tests instead of scopes and spectrum analyzers.
