Mosfet Replacement

WHAT MOSFETS DO I REPLACE WITH?

Hi all I am still stuck.My pm 94 Marantz popped 1 mosfet 2SK405-This is paired with 2sj115.Anyone know were i can find some replacements in the USA or UK or anywhere for that matter?.It has been suggested that I replace with 2SK1529-2SJ200.Can anyone with the know how please tell me if this replacement will work or if they can find me the original K405.Or can anyone suggest another replacement for these fets...please guys this newbie is desperate

2SK405, the predecessor of 2SK1529 is now obsolete. 2SK1529 would be the very best for a (hopefully) trouble free replacement, bearing in mind that these types are somewhat different from "common" vertical MOSFETs.

you should check and readjust the bias voltage, which is a good thing to do anyway. I don`t expect any other problem. You are going to replace all FETs, aren`t you?

I will replace all mosfets with 2sk1529/2sj200.Also should I replace the drivers on the driver board? they are c2682 anda1142.They say the reeplacement is 2sd669a and2sb649a is this correct? Thanks in advance seafire

it is not correct. 2SSC669/2SB649 is to be used in current stages. Please keep 2SC2682/2SA1142 unless they are defective.

Contact me via email if you are sure that only the output pair 2SJ115/2SK405 is toasted. I have what you want. What's the grade of the pair, Y or O?

A much closer replacement for the 1142 pair would be 2sa1209 and 2sc2911, available at rs electronics.
