hello, I have a vintage marantz 2220. It has two sets of speaker outs. Would it be advisable to run a pair of fullrange drivers out of one output and a pair of passive subs out of the other? The room is small and the full-ranges are diy fostex 107 based units and the subs would be built around the w5 high xmax tang band driver. Thanks.

2220
is the family of 2230 and 2240 nice amp but very very low in power ....
also something rings a beel that in the output there is capacitor coupling .... ( not really the best for low ends )
basically i will wonder if this amp is working propelry for starts ....
recaping and other updates is a must in such an old equipment ......
...... then operating at 4R will produce more heat and stress in the output section but for casual listening might be ok ...
still i wonder if this device operates properly at this age
happy vintage regards sakis
