I have a Marantz SR420. It has a 6.1 direct input and 6.1 outputs.
Currently, I'm running a digital signal out of my soundbridge into a DCX2496 and then into the SR420's 6.1 direct inputs. However, that keeps me from using any of the receiver's switching capabilities.
Is there anyway to separate the preamp 6.1 outputs from the 6.1 direct input--essentially making a one box receiver into a preamp and amplifier?
