Hi folks,
I was just wondering if one or some of you could give a quick run down of all the different types of MOSFETs.
I understand, more or less, lateral versus vertical, p-channel versus n-channel, and enhancement versus depletion.
What I'm not clear on is TMOS, VMOS, and TrenchFETs.
I have an amp that uses Motorola TMOS devices (MTM20N10/MTM20P10... quite obsolete these days). According to their literature, IIRC, these are vertical MOSFETs whose die design uses a deep trench, thus the T in TMOS. Are these VMOS by the old terminology? They're certainly not HEXFETs and they don't seem to be what people are now calling TrenchFETs.
Thanks for the help,
Paul
