hello,

I would like to ask the forum what are the advantage/disadvantage of incorporating a tone control network within the power amps feedback network. I have seen this on some vintage pioneer amp that I have resurrected this week, sa-610, sa-6000 in particular. (The service manual can be downloaded at www.hifiengine.com.) And they sound very nice and neutral especially on the low end, fat and damp compared to the usual design which I find a bit "aggressive". Anyone can enlightened me on this please. Thank you very much.
