Any one have suggestions for the driver and output transistors in a MC2200. McIntosh used MJ15020/21 for drivers and MJ15003/4 for outputs. The 20/21s are made from unobtanium it seems, the 03/04s are still around. Do Not want to use fleabay or offshore items. Might have to bite the bullet and buy from McIntosh at 3 times the cost, all are $10 ea. According to the parts guy at Mc they do no testing or grading or matching of their transistors so no real reason to buy from them unless I have to. I can match my own if I want.

The ON cross reference gave me the MJ15024/5s as subs for the 20/21s also. Both are less than $4 from Mouser. I don't mind experimenting, but getting the heatsink assys. out of this amp is not fun. Need to go with proven part #s. Thanx for the input none the less.

The MJ15018/19 and MJ15020/21 are the same (for Low voltage use in a McIntosh).

Minimum of 20Mhz, 4A, 150W SOA at 50V.

If McIntosh doesn't have them, these guys do. Buy at least one extra of each to open up to see if they are real. The ones on eBay are probably fake (except for this vendor).

Here are genuine Mcintosh 132-152, 1981 date code, as used in the 2120/2125/2200/2205.
