Default Recordable Sound Chip

First, thank you for reading this.

Long story short, i am wanting to get a chip that i can record a 2 second clip onto and have it out put the sound so i can amplify it.

I am not needing a high-fidelity chip but id like one that, if a voice or sound is recorded to it, you can hear it clearly. Also I would like one that i could connect to a computer's output and record it that way.

I would also like one that runs on 12volts.

What types of chips are out there that i can look at?

Thanks again!
