Proton 1100 Pre is not working

I have a Proton 1100 Preamplifier that is not working. I cracked open the case, and upon visual inspection found multiple bad capacitors. I am new to DIY audio, and I was thinking about replacing these myself. I can perform the work, but I am guessing that just replacing caps will not solve the problem.

Could someone point me in the right direction so I can get to the root of this problem? I would like to read some web-sites about troubleshooting steps, etc.

Better yet, if anyone is in Minnesota or nearby, that would like to teach a willing-to-learn youngster some points about audio repair, I would appreciate it and compensate you somehow.

Hi,
I have a good working unit, but no schematic. I should be able to help with confirming dc level measurements. The pcb is well laid out, and you should be able to check DC levels, and signal path levels once you have some confidence and tools, such as a CRO or CRO software such as TrueRTA. Some parts are now obsolete, but google is great for checking on other peoples suggestions for options.
