Aws near as I can tell, only one of the many vendors on eBay has real parts.

All the counterfiet photos are from current eBay auctions.

Here's what the counterfeit MJ15025:s I have look like. Look at the text, it's printed the wrong way. Text should go across device when holes are above each other.

Well, to order directly from On you'd have to be buying several thousands of each number. For a direct order you might even be able to get them to rerun some out of production parts.

For the rest of us, though, distributors like Mouser, Digi-Key, and Newark should all be safe bets.

I think these guys on eBay are preying to a large extent on people that don't realize that a lot of these parts are in current production.

Onsemi has no minimum order.

Yeah, but are their onsey-twosey prices any better that the distributors? Probably not. Samples can be had for free, but you might be pushing your luck if you wanted 50 as "samples".

No, actually he's right. I hadn't looked at dealing with them directly since the Motorola days, but I just checked, and you can buy directly from On, even in single-piece quanities.

And, their price on the MJ21193's, for example, is about 15% lower than Mouser.

Thanks for the pointer Stormrider.

Well, that takes care of everyone in America - or if they ship small orders internationally, everywhere where credit cards are commonplace. But without a credit card, one may still be stuck buying from unscrpulous dealers.
