I have an adcom gfa-5300 that is overheating in the left channel. I've already switching speakers, checked connections, and switched cables to make sure it wasn't another component that was causing the problem.
I've read that it could be the bias setting that has caused the problem. I just wanted to get some more input about this and decide how to proceed.
Is resetting the bias a fairly difficult task? I am a beginner when it comes to repairing electronics but I want to learn more. However that the same time, I don't want to mess it up even further so unless its a simple thing I'd rather not make the attempt.
If it is difficult, anyone know the cost of repair for such a thing? Or any good power amp repair shops in Los Angeles?
Thanks!
