Hi Joe!

I would try a pair of 1K resistors, one on each of the 'hot' outputs of the RCA, into the 600R input 'hot'. The 'cold' of the 600R input I would return to the RCA common ground through a 560R.

Depending on how close to 600R input impedance actaually is, we will have a loss on the order of about 10dB.

The 1K resistors will prevent the CD player output stage from driving too hard on signals that are not common to both channels.

A transformer could be employed if full isolation is needed (ground loop), but it will have a very low output (mic level).
