Default the ultimate P3A testing !!!!!

helllo everyone marry xmas and very happy new year for every one !!!!!!

More or less everybody know that i am a P3A-P3 edict.... compaired to many this is what i like most .....i know that there are for shure many that are better but in the way i make this amp i like so much the sonics of it ....

so i decided to perform the ultimate test for this amp .....

in a few months i am going to be a dad !!!!! so i have allready instaled in my bedroom ( since my girlfriend spends a lot of time there lateley cause of the baby she likes to sleep alot ) just a cd player , a pair of small yamaha monitors , and theusual box i make the woden one including a dual mono P3a biassed @120ma equiped with original 2SA1302-3281 and about 2x10000mfd per board ......

this is the system my girlfriend is listening from ......which means she has no idea about sound (eventhough she knows many forum members by name since she listens about them very often .....) but she says that what she listen is very warm and pleasent ( that is enough for me ) ......

Now the ultimate test will be when the baby comes if the system will have the same effect for the baby IE relaxing it and keep it happy and calm !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

best regards for everyone !!!! happy daddy sakis !!!!

Congratulations !

Being a Dad is great, you are a very lucky guy.

Even better than making amplifiers

Certainly a lot more fun to make. And you rarely burn your fingers in the process.

But amplifiers don't require diapers, so they are more enjoyable in some respects.

Congratulations to you and your lady, Sakis.

Congratulations to you and your good lady on your new arrival!

I’ve been very fortunate myself to take delivery of two during the last four years. In both cases, however, their instruction manuals were missing and their mute function often failed after midnight.

These are my further observations (probably best if ignored):

Attempts to switch off before retiring to bed seldom has the desired effect as they prefer to power-up and play at random times well into the early hours.

Contrary to conventional theory, squealing or howling is often attenuated or even completely suppressed by simply increasing the level of positive feedback. As a quick fix, a dummy load may be applied to the input but this should only be considered a temporary solution as long-term performance may be impaired.

While stability can be an issue, the output load can be a significant factor. Particularly during the early months, this should be manually checked and isolated to prevent excessive distortion or packet error. Compensation for output overload by regulation of the input is not recommended.

Increasing resistance to improve overall response is futile!

The LT Spice model does not yet appear to be available.

Conclusion:

If a good quality input source is provided, together with plenty of dedication and caring maintenance, the result should be a lifetime of A-Class high fidelity pleasure.

Not to mention a good “ohm”…

Regards,

Steve
