the OpAmp_Distortion.pdf I have before is only 16.4 MB
so I am glad to get this version, too
The new version has got 279 pages (the old 222 pages)

The document was updated with a few discrete opamps. As expected, the results on these discrete opamps are quite poor.

True, but don't they sound great? Especially when wired with 6 nines, cryogenically treated, unbleached cotton insulated silver wire?

If you name these discrete op-amps something like "sun" "moon" or "stars", it gives them magical properties. Maybe someday science will catch up with what's really going on here .

Our old model 50 workhorse FET discrete op-amp (c. 1970)probably blows the doors off any of these. Unfortunately I can't locate one for him to test.

Better than the 797? I'd like to see a schematic of this beast if you're willing to share it.
