Hello everyone,
Im currently doing a project to develop a hearing aid system.I goin to use NE570 compandor as a compression circuit but im confuse how to implement the IC.The 16 pin really confuse me since im lack of reference.Can anyone guide me to this? |

I think you should study and setup a basic compressor (Fig.7)
and one basic expander (Fig.6), from the NE570 datasheet. What I understand the compressor can be set to some Gain. And the Expander will take the compressed signal and put it back for normal use. The application note pdf is also useful (I think) Applications for Compandors NE570/SA571 http://www.onsemi.com/pub_link/Collateral/AND8159-D.PDF

The gain cell is where it happens.
Based on the RECT_IN (a rectified signal level) the gain cell will adjust the gain to required gain level. If the RECT_IN is fed (getting feedback) from the output, and the output level is very low then the RECT_IN will tell the gain cell to provide more gain and so the signal at output gets stronger.
