Do it yourself and let us know the sound results

And post some pictures... all i could see, for a while, is simulated it by yourself.

Simulators does not listen music... why not to build it Lineup?

Do the complete job for us... a DIY design... created, designed, simulated, assembled, tested and offered to your friends as a real DIY design.

What about to be "on topic" related the forum tittle "Do it youself"

regards,

Carlos

Carlos.

You are repeating yourself. Haven't you notice?
If you do not want to contribute on topic, can you just go away, please.

Can you not tolerate that other are different from you?
That all can not and do not want to contribute theway you do?
I tell you the truth, I am happy people are different.
And have the right to decide for themselves what to do.
And not have someone telling what to do.

If you have problems with my contribution to forum and to Diy Amplifiers,
you know as before, where your Ignore Button is.

Not much regards
Lineup

thanks AndrewT for commenting my idea.

I have changed the 68 Ohms to 100 Ohm. Did this before you posted.
5.3 mA in predrivers. A slight improvement.

Actually the MJE1503x works at 18.2 mA ( 7.2 + 11mA into Power T).
18.2 mA is not much for TO220, so I may try with BD139/140 (TO126).

The idle in output stage is around 1.5 A ( 3 x 0.5A).
Gives max theoretical 24 Volt peak over 8 Ohm.
I will try to reduce a bit and see. Maybe 1.25A and increase voltage to 40V.
Which keeps total = 50 Watt.

But I may have to change much more in order to lower the distortion.

As I used the MJE 150xx in many of my amplifiers, I can recommend to use it at least 30ma, but more is better. You can run it even with 100mA, and they like it!
The lower B-E resistor on the output devices will speed up Your output stage.

Oh!... a pitty that nobody will build... i was interested

Nice idea.... the schematic...but i am afraid to build and i would be glad if another forum folk have tried, in special yourself.

I have found monthes ago something alike.... less sophisticated that yours, but also interesting.... from Mark Houston from Australia.

regards,

Carlos

And i have simulated...but had not courage to build

because of heat..... was simulated based into Mark Houston schematic... i have made nothing about..just some changes.

I would be happy, of course, someone building it.

regards,

Carlos

..................................................................................................

Of course i can tollerate...even my sons are different... everybody different in this world...but ... diy is diy, i had in my imagination would be nice to dyers to build things too.

Been there, done that...

if ur building SE ur not likely to be going for low distortion, but it's still a good idea to look for good performance in the real world...

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

That one is DC coupled, an predates Mr. Pass's DC coupled SE design by a little bit, iirc... was a nice amp to listen to. Getting noise and hum out of any SE design is, well, a "bear"... ymmv.
