I need some help from the experts here. First I need help with identifications and hopefully some suitable substitutes for some transistors.
I'm trying to identify a white plastic chip component which I think is a capacitor. Can anyone positively identify it and suggest what to replace it with. I'm also trying to identify some resistors that I'm unsure of what type they are. Please see the pictures below and click to enlarge. Lastly I'm looking for subs for 2N5632/2N6229 complimentary transistors. So far I can only find 2N5884G/2N5886G as suggested by onsemi. Vceo is lower and the fT is quite faster. Any recommendations??? Datasheet links below. THANK YOU! ![]() ![]() http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/data.../487112_DS.pdf http://www.onsemi.com/pub_link/Collateral/2N5883-D.PDF |

The cap is mylar - nothing special. The white boxes offfer a bit better environmental protection.
The resistors are 1% metal film, probably a bit better precision and tempco than the blue cheapies from Mouser/Digikey. The digits correspond to the normal color code - 3 digits followed by "number of zeros" in ohms. As for the transistors, use the MJ15015/15016 "super 2N3055" pairs. |

Thanks for the help ski. The MJ15015/016 look to be fine candidates. I banged in some MJ15003/04 just to test with and to try and sort out my no bias issues.
