anyone can give me a little bit explanation,what is the purpose of diode on emitter? it install on output transistor ,from emitter to ground & paralel with 1 ohm/0,5watt resistor.
i see this in power amplifier thanks |

yap, I've been wondering about this too, I seen this one on a crate fender guitar amp I have repaired, output transistors where darlington type TIP 142/147. stabilization? wired like an Re resistor, or "flavor" for that rectified sound? definitely not a baker clamp.
