I think you should make trip over to passlabs forum, that is if you like class a Amps. Put this same question there.

class a amps are lovely, and i have already built one Aleph amp, but they have one big problem and its the heat , i dont want to use big heatsinks and fan's to keep it cold, so a class a/b or just class b will be good for me |

Or secondary voltage to be really useful. Can you add turns to the secondaries, or is it potted in the center?

How about stacking four 30-35V? That will get you up to something respectable with those 40V caps. Then you could even do class H and not need much of a heat sink.

No forget class H, stick with A or AB - they sound best.
So you want: - higher voltage /power than from 21v sec - class AB - N-channel FET output (quasicomplemntary) My suggestion is: Make 10 of the "Legend" by Dr. Bora ( use the search function) and drive your 5 channels balanced. It would be an effektive use of most of your nice parts |

...allthough with 5x200-240W per channel you might be pushing the toroid at full power. So drive the front L and front R balanced meaning 'only' 7 amplifiers.
...and if you have 8 leftovers caps, then I could sure find some use for them |
