a costumer comapains that has a musical fidelity A5 almost brand new sounds bad even compaired to cirous small amp ....
low is poor and high is almost confusing .... any ideas before i open the machine ?????

There is probably nothing wrong with it.
Maybe he connected it with one channel reversely phased ( + and - the other way round), or maybe he is just not a big fan of "the british sound". |

speakers wrong connection is totally out of the question .....
your comment about "british sound " i can respect anything else ?????? anybody been playing around with a machine like that ???? schematics may be ????? he he he .... will see .....i will see it sometime next week .....

I believe also that nothing is wrong, but if we think that traditionaly Musical Fidelity uses conventional designs in its amps and it plays with quicient (bias) current to produce pure sound (some watts 1-2 class A), I am thinking that maybe the bias current in the particular amp is some how low trimmered consider increasing it. This is just a guess thought because I do not know this Amp. I know others like A1.
