Maybe this is old news for some of you, but just yesterday did I get to know Surfboards SOIC adapters.
Their Unisip and 9000 lines have a lot of potential for adapting SOIC chips into DIP places: http://www.capitaladvanced.com/9000ser.htm http://www.capitaladvanced.com/uni-sip.htm Has anyone used them and has any advices or warnings? Next question is where to get them, as Digi-Key just sells them in kits with several Surfboards types. Carlos |

I think most people are looking to replace an 8 pin dip dual opamp (like in a cd player) with higher performance types that are only available in single surface mount packages.
Here is an adaptor that does just that for $1.59 http://brndog.com/SingletoDual.html See their complete list for other useful adaptors. http://brndog.com/priclist.html |
