Default CAudio RA3001

Hi folks,
I have a faulty CAudio RA3001 amplifier :-(

Does anybody have a service manual for them ?

The amp is dead on one channel after being borrowed to a friend !

The protect light isn't lit, the first led on both VU meters lights up when turned on (one brighter than the other) and when you apply a signal both VU meters respond as they should but I only het sound out of channel 2. All fuses are fine and Ive tightened the fuse holders .

Any body have any ideas ?

Im a fully qualified electronics engineer (but more used to digital!) so I have access to all the test gear etc.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Kev

Default you may take

a basic look in to secondary psu and also this you say about the led ( brighter than the other is very strange)

also most of Caudio i ve repaired in the past had protection issues

then again see and amke sure if amp is working no matter if you have protection issues

Psu fault is most likely since it must be a quiet old device ...

a basic test and look up will solve your problem ...

i dont have a schematic but a friend of mine owns the same amp so if your search comes to a dead end get back to me and will open my friends amp for you ....

LINE UP
my swedish friend .....have a cup of coffe .... or a beer ....
crest and c audio is totally other company

best regards sakis
