Hello all,
I have a Carver Sonic Holography Receiver HR-752 that sounds beautiful and clean when first turned on(compared to my JVC ). It will work for weeks at a time for 1 to 5 hour sessions of listening without a hint of trouble. Then eventually it will out of the blue start buzzing full blast at an ear splitting, excruciating volume. Comparable to a non-lethal weapon. I turn it off and back on and its still the obnoxious buzzing. Volume control has no effect on it. It can then set up for several months and then repeat the process of working great for a week or two then not working and buzzing again.I have a very modest electronics background but wouldn't feel uncomfortable doing some soldering. I read a previous post from Anatech about the heat sink being an issue but the problem was different. Could it be a factor in my situation. Is there any point in mucking with it? Thanks, Jon |
