Looking for condenser microphone amplifier circuits

Hi,

I have searched diyAudio and the web for circuits of condenser icrophone impedance converters/amplifiers. All I have found (beisde tube circuite) were quite simple circuits with one JFET and a few passive components. Is this the type of circuit used in the better/more expensive condenser microphones? Does anyone here have some information? I do not need a circuit diagram with component values necessarily, a diagram showing the basic idea will do.

The capsule is from Marshall MXL-770 mic.
C3 should be 20 nF for proper equalization
