Hi all,
I have just been given an Aiwa P80 amp that has been through the wars and is missing the output devices in both chanels. I don't suppose anybody out there would happen to have a schematic for this particular amp so that I have some idea of what might have been there when it was alive and well. Thanks in anticipation.

Yep, that's the bunny. I found that picture yesterday when I Googled the model no. Very little came up, to my surprise.
I only have the power amp part of that system.... without it's output stage unfortunately. It looks quite nicely put together so I'd rather repair it than scrap it.

The only info I could get so far is that the P80 is probably OEMmade by BASF. The guys at AIWA are not willing to dig up the service manual. (Guess they have to climb some stairs).
BASF is long gone, but maybe our Sony friends could help us. I'll make some more phone calls. /Hugo |

Thanks Hugo,
You're going to lots of trouble over this but it is appreciated.

Despite some trouble, no results. If only some people would do some effort, this world would be a nicer place. Unfortunately, even climbing stairs costs money... /Hugo - has to give up on this, but only on this…

With some more info on what is inside (rail voltages / output power, circuit topology, pictures of boards...) we can suggest some devices that should work as a replacement even if they are not "originals"

Thanks for the help Hugo and the suggestion AMT-freak I'll have a good luck inside and see what's there and post it up here. Might take me a while as I'm in the middle of some building work at home at the moment and the audio is on the back burner.
