The MA-5100 is an integrated amp often referred to as preamp-amplifier. I wonder what that means. Does it imply that the amp and preamp section are strictly seperated and therefore only interesting from a technical point of view or does it mean that it can be probably split to a preamp and amp practically in daily use?
Starting with the MA6200 there are pre-out main-in jacks on the McIntosh integrated amps.
The MA5100 has a seperate preamp and poweramp, so you could add your own pre-out and main-in, but I don't know how much room there is on the back panel for more jacks. I suppose you could just drill a single hole and run a cable with a 5-pin DIN on it (if it came to that).
