Old new bee needs help to Identify

I repair all my stuff but from time to time I need help to Identify radio shack is not the help the used to be.


This comes from a battery charger and blew out the back everything else seems to be ok.

I think it just took too much through it on a startup

Can you help? I need to know it proper name.

it maybe a thermal fuse, looks somewhat like 150C at the bottom with a maximum through current of 2.5A - that is it can be used at upto 2.5A and will open at 150 centigrade to prevent a fire :hot:

where was it fitted - physically and electrically ?
was it in proximity to the transformer ?
is it now open circuit ?
 
i still think its a thermal fuse, there to prevent a fire from an overheating transformer. i've seen similar looking devices, eg

probably makes the most sense on the primary side (mains), especially given the 2.5A / 250v rating.

is that other thing (chr3) a diode ?
