Well can you swap the channels on the pre/power amp bridge connectors to see if it's a preamp fault or poweramp?

There could be a lot more than just the output transistors. Dead transistors might give distorted sound, but if it's totally quiet, I'd look at other things first.

Hi there!
It looks like everyone has a 1060 with a dead channel. I got one recently of the big auction site, described as non working.
I have been fiddling a bit, and with a new fuse it is working, left channel is perfect, right channel completely distorted.
I checked and adjusted bias on left channel, but I get no measure of bias on right channel, on any position of the potentiometer.
Nothing looks burned.
Anyone can point me out on what transistors to replace?

I am not very experienced on finding faults, so all help will be helpfull

Now besides distorted, it started doing crackling and popping sounds on the defective channel, wether the balance is torwards it or not

issues are never the same, you'll have to get the service manual and perform a little investigative work. you're issue does sound similar to the original posters, read through the tread and perform the same measurements to see if yours is the same.

Also having 1 of the 2 channels working, you can also take measurements from one side and compare to the other.
