Hi folks. I've got a pair of blown PA amps and I am trying to find the schematics. I have tried a google, but nothing, so perhaps someone here can help...
The amps are made by C Audio, model CA4. Looks like something from the mid eighties. Much appreciated. |

I believe it is a Crest amplifier too. The schematic is available online at the crest website.

Thanks for reply. I am sure it is C Audio, out of Cambridge in England. I have heard they no longer exist and maybe they were bought up by either Crown or perhaps Crest Audio. I looked at the CA series amps at the Crest web, but they are not the same. The CA4 model I have are old-school mid-80s type with a huge transformer and probably weight 30lbs or more. They are 400watt/8ohms per channel with bipolar output transistors. I dont think they are older than this because they have a TL071 opamp in the circuit. (Not that I know when that opamp was typical)
I guess I can T/S these amps without the schematic, but it would make it easier. |
