thats a hell of nice device ......and after all these years all it had wrong was afew caps and one faulty relay .....nice hei

Oooh, I have one waiting for repair with a blown PSU... accidentaly set to 110V and connected to 240V...

if its the same i have manuals ( that i will not photocopy and make pdf ) but i can give you any info you want or sent by post a copy of the manual .....
i also fixed a 1900 and a 480 a few days ago .....the 1900 was cra****py was allready vandalised but the 480 was a joy ...really played very nice after the repair .....a lot of caps man

I have one
Nakamichi 600. It has that slooping front. I used almost exclusively TDK SA tapes .. for Chrome Type setting (see text below). My machine today is just gathering dust. Eventhough I have many many cassett tapes with olden goldies music. Quote:

much of quality of these machines but i am happy to have them working again for my costumers and as long that they keep with in original specs more or less then its ok .....
i feel very happy though to work with them ....

Mine is a diffirent brand, but good quality nontheless... was actualy used for band recordings etc...
One of the reels I have is a recording of a stock car or motorbike... absolutely sounds like hell breaking loose... My dad used to carry the speakers out at 3 in the morning and blast that track if the neighbours were too noisy... |

sadly all my know how is collecting dust. I have spend 7 years only adjusting those machines...bias, record level, playback level, rec eq. and playback eq. They are not more used.... modern folks do not tollerate the tape hissing. Nice machines..... sadly the are, now a days, alike a steam train. Carlos
