Question Proceed AMP 3 12v trigger problem

I just bought a used Proceed AMP 3 (3-channel amplifier) for my fronts in my home theater and use a Pioneer Elite VSX-55TXi receiver to power the surrounds. I am having a problem making the 12v trigger from my receiver work with my amplifier. I sold off another amp that worked fine, but it was also a newer design. I think the "oldness" of this Proceed is causing the issue.

From what I've read, most 12vDC triggers, like the on my receiver, put out a constant 12v signal but my Proceed needs a pulse to turn it off and on. Sure enough, when I hook up the 1/8" mono cable between my receiver and the amp, it turns it on, but won't turn it off unless I power up my receiver a second time!

Here is an excerpt from the Proceed manual.
Code:
REMOTE TURN-ON JACK
A 1⁄8" “mini” jack above the AC mains receptacle on the rear panel allows
remote-controlled turn-on (that is, toggling between operate and
standby) of the Proceed AMP. This remote “trigger” will be operated by a
3–12 volts DC positive-polarity pulse, of at least 100 milliseconds

Does anyone know of a device that I can use between my receiver and Proceed amp that will convert a continous 12v signal to a pulse and power it on *as well as off?* I also have a switched outlet on the back of my receiver that I could use if something like that existed, instead of the formal 12v trigger.

Thanks.
