I wanted to build a OPA 627 or LM4562 or AD815 ( The same chip used in the Jeff Rowland Synergy preamp)
But I wanted to have a look on the solid state side to conclude before jumping on the opamp based preamp... any suggestions guys...? does anybody have an experience by using OPA 627 Op amps and then switching to the solid state? please give your suggestions... |

Pedja Rogic's J-fet buffer for dummies.
Also has a few threads dedicated to it on the chipamp section. That is, if you don't need voltage amplification in this stage. |

lots of variable to even define the type of preamp
preamp for what sources? level, impedance, frequency, likely RFI/EMI environment gain(s), output levels, load impedance(s) controls, switching, power? |
