Default Phonic MAX 860 and 1500 reviews and advice needed

Hi,

Does anyone have experince of using these power amps for home audio use?

I have a pair of Klipsch and want to use 1 or 2 pro power amps to drive them.

Some other options I have are Alesis, SKP and Lexsen.

The phonics seem to have toroidial transformers and have many functions.

Can't make my mind up which amps to buy. I can afford to Alesis RA 150 amps to bridge or just 1 phonic 860 or 1500.

Thks.

Hi Zeonrider,

Thks for your opinion. You have some experience with phonic? Can you give me more details about how they sound?

I assume I can adapt the Jack input to accept RCA?

is there much difference between the 860 and 1500 models? Not much price difference - 50 bucks.

Thks

Hi Chris! I had good experience with Behringer EP-1500 and EP-2500, very well regarded in planar forum!! Team very good with Magnepans and they have truly Hi-End taste. Check mercado libre they sell at good prices, I could say best watt/dollar/quality relationship. BTW they're QSC clones (RMX series).
Regards,
Marcelo
