The lowest supply voltage bipolar opamp that I know works at +/-1V (but needs +/- 1.5V to have guaranteed performance as per the datasheet) http://focus.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tlv2361.pdf Take a look at the schematic in the datasheet and note that some of the trannies (but not all of them!) are working in saturation.

Anything beyond that is built in CMOS technology (and, depending on the process, may work rail-to-rail at 3*Vt (typically 1V).
