I am new to this page, but IMHO, I would try the MJL1302A (PNP) and the MJL 3281A (NPN). They are from ON Semiconductor (used to be Motorola). These units sport the following characteristics:

The MJL3281A and MJL1302A are PowerBase power transistors
for high power audio, disk head positioners and other linear
applications. :yes:

15 AMPERE COMPLEMENTARY SILICON POWER TRANSISTORS
Vce = 200 VOLTS
Pdiss = 200 WATTS

• Designed for 100 W Audio Frequency :cool:

• Gain Complementary:
Gain Linearity from 100 mA to 7 A
High Gain — 60 to 175
hFE = 45 (Min) @ IC = 8 A

• Low Harmonic Distortion

• High Safe Operation Area — 1 A/100 V @ 1 Second

• High fT — 30 MHz Typical :bigeyes:

I especially like the 30MHz gain-bandwidth figure!

These units are used in some of the better high-end amplifiers.
try www.onsemi.com and go thru the pages to the Bipolar Power section. Best of luck!
