Default Yamaha C-4 Muting problem

Hi gang..

Well, I just bought me a Yamaha C-4 preamp.. Great thingy, but it takes about two minutes for muting relais to switch on.
I thought it would be a problem in power supply so I replaced old caps with new Elna's, but no avail. I don't have service manual and guy's who run repairs for Yamaha equipment here in Holland won't give me any information. Only thing they are willing to do is take C-4 in for repair. Since I think this is no way to treat the customer, there's no way I'd let them do any repairs.
My question is, do any of you guys know how to fix the problem?
I know how muting works (darlington switching on relais after capacitor is loaded) but before I go replacing all caps, I'd like to hear your opinion.
Thanx in advance for any suggestions..
