I'm new to the forum, so please forgive me for any mistakes I may make at the start.
Now that I've got that obligatory comment done, here's my situation: I just picked up two (2) R-117(s) with one operational and the other 'very' dead. My operational one is operating properly, but ANY IR in the direction towards the receiver causes it to 'shutdown' briefly and then come back on. It's as if you push the on/off switch very quickly. I believe it could be in the IC302 (NEC) which is the primary CPU controller. Without any in depth analysis of the IC, it appears from the schematic that the IC manages the IR system commands. Does anyone know of a possible processor reset sequence for the unit? Big thanks to the forum. Scott |
